Founder & Supervisor
Shiloh Wehr, MA, LPC
I am a Master’s level Community Counselor with the State of Michigan and the State of Illinois licensure. I received my degree from National Louis University and am a National Board Certified Counselor. I have experience in couples counseling as well as family and individual therapy.
I provide therapeutic services for a wide range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, co-dependency, family conflict, infidelity, oppositional defiance, and life transitions, to name just a few.
My personal approach to therapy is from a perspective of systems theory mixed with existentialism and holistic approaches. I believe that we each are part of several groups (systems) and that these are formed or shaped by patterns that we have seen or been a part of. I also believe that our capacity to change and move forward lies in the meanings we give to everything in our lives, especially those concerning ourselves. Individually, there are many parts to each of us, and I work to help people address any or all areas of concern in their lives.

Partnering with me means working with someone who deeply understands the journey of recovery—both professionally and personally. Through EMDR and evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, we’ll address the root causes of your pain, reprocess challenging memories, and create lasting relief from emotional distress.
Together, we’ll uncover the origins of your struggles, reshape harmful patterns, and build a toolkit for lasting resilience. While deep transformation is a beautiful part of this process, my primary goal is to provide you with immediate relief from life’s stressors—so you can start feeling better, sooner.

I believe that therapy should be a space of safety, openness, and individualized care. No single approach fits all, which is why I take the time to understand your unique background, personality, and goals. This allows me to tailor a therapeutic plan that is not only effective but also deeply respectful of your personal journey. My approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative Therapy. Additionally, I am trained in trauma therapy and spiritual trauma, equipping me to support those working through past wounds and deep emotional pain.
As a BIPOC woman, I recognize the profound influence of cultural identity on mental health and well-being. I celebrate multicultural diversity and strive to create an inclusive, affirming space where your experiences are valued and understood. Together, we will explore your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, helping you build resilience, reclaim your strength, and move toward a more fulfilling life.

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”
― Brene Brown

" Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they're never weakness." — Brené Brown
Welcome! Deciding to seek therapy takes immense vulnerability and courage, and it's a choice I genuinely admire and hold in high regard. I am a mother to two beautiful daughters and a proud wife of a Firefighter for almost ten years. Having experienced the personal transformation that therapy can offer, I’m passionate about supporting others in their growth and helping them overcome mental health challenges.
I provide therapeutic support for a range of concerns, including life transitions, anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and relationship challenges. Throughout our work together, we will collaboratively set goals that promote lasting change and equip you with the tools to face future challenges with greater effectiveness and confidence. My deep understanding of the emotional and psychological challenges associated with loving a first responder allows me to offer practical insights into relationships often tested by distance, stress, and unpredictability.
My foremost priority is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel truly heard and empowered. Together, we will build a strong therapeutic partnership focused on your personal growth and well-being. I look forward to joining you on your journey toward healing and self-transformation!

I have a deep heart for people of color and am committed to acknowledging and understanding the unique challenges they may face, which can differ significantly from my own experiences.
